The Doctor - intelligence 50 - coming to DS via Top Trumps
Rose Tyler has a monster rating of 1 - did they not see 'The Secret Diary of a Call Girl'?
Call us old fashioned but when we play Top Trumps, we expected certain facts to be immutable - attributes should be marked out of a hundred and they should, at least, be interesting.
So the news that Doctor Who Top Trumps DS is ripe for release - May 18th apparently - doesn't strike us as something to get too excited about. To be fair though, we quite enjoyed the DS release of Top Trumps: Horror & Predators, but having checked out a pack of the Doctor Who Top Trumps Specials cards, we're not so sure how this particular DS version of Top Trumps will pan out.
Of course, The Doctor is the (joint) most intelligent (50/50), and the (joint) most courageous (75/75), but we're a little confused why these qualities can't be listed out of 100. And obviously, being The Doctor, his 'Darkness rating' is 0 out of 200 (although significantly this has been upped to 20 in the mobile version of the game), while his 'Monster rating' is 2/10 - hardly the ace in the pack then.
Still, at least, we can enjoy the parallel universe that is The Doctor's Companion website (scroll right down), which has its own set of TT attributes for the female sidekicks such as Entrance, Usefulness, Lungs, Physique and Memorability. Now that's a Top Trumps game we'd pay to play.
