Apple makes major changes to the iPad App Store client ahead of the iPad 3 announcement

A new iPad is due to be unveiled today - this much we know for certain. And it would appear that Apple is preparing for the launch of the iPad 3 with various App Store revamps here and there.

9to5Mac notes that instead of scrolling up and down through the various App Store charts and categories on the iPad app, you now scroll sideways through the lists.

The app no longer needs to reload the page every time you expand the chart to reveal the next bunch of 25 games, either, meaning movement is much more fluid.

In the US App Store, Apple has also added a whole new category called Catalogs - although this probably has nothing to do with games, and, therefore, should be marked as B for Boring.

There may be a few more little tweaks and refinements spotted throughout the day leading up to the big iPad 3 announcement, so keep your eye on Pocket Gamer for all the highlights.
