Rumour: Images reveal new redesigned internal components for iPad 3, unchanged rear-casing
|

iPatch, a UK-based iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch repair specialist, has provided Apple-loving website Cult of Mac with several images that are purported to reveal the internal components and outer shell of Apple's next-generation iPad.

The photographs show a flex cable containing the Sleep/Wake button, a microphone, wi-fi components, and the iPad's headphone jack, as well as the tablet's casing.

The internal components are all "significantly different" from those found in the first two iterations of Apple's sought-after tablet, but the iPad 3's rear-casing is unchanged from its predecessor, which would suggest that the forthcoming slate won't boast a redesign.

You never know

Earlier this month, Pocket Gamer reported on another batch of images from a source "claiming to be in possession" of Apple's iPad 3. Said images would appear to confirm that the forthcoming tablet will house a quad-core A6 processor.

Well, if they're legit, that is.

As always, we'll believe it when it comes from Tim Cook's mouth.
