Whatever happened to Leona from the last series of The X Factor? She seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth since winning and being told she could be bigger than Beyoncé. Ah well.

With another series set to begin soon, Namco Bandai has released the first official X Factor game. It has you playing a young hopeful trying to work their way through the show to become the ultimate winner.

Gameplay-wise, it's all about rhythm-action, pressing numbers on your keypad in time with onscreen icons, scoring more points the longer you do it right in a row.

The game also involves building up your skills in key areas: rhythm, emotion, breathing, power and range. And you'll obviously be duking it out with fellow wannabes to avoid getting voted off each round.

The X Factor actually went on sale this morning on certain operator portals. We're playing it right now, and will have a review for you tomorrow.
