EA has confirmed that The Sims 3 on 3DS will be released during the handheld’s launch window, and has released new screenshots of the upcoming title.

The game, which is likely to get even non-gamers excited, will be the first full-life simulation experience in a 3D world on handheld. Although there aren’t too many pretenders to that particular crown at this moment in time.

3DS-specific features such as facial recognition and new karma powers were revealed during the game’s announcement at E3 last year, but EA has recently revealed that the game will be compatible with the 3DS’s StreetPass feature.

Players will be able to share their customised Sims with other 3DS users they pass on the street, and will be able to make use of other as-yet-unspecified community features.
