The Office coming to DS and PSP
But it's based on the US version of the series
Casual games specialist MumboJumbo has announced it is developing and publishing a mass market game based on the US version of the award-winning comedy series, The Office, following a deal with the very serious sounding Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group.
"The cast and creators of The Office have done a fantastic job delivering a show with a personality all its own," said Bill Kispert of Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group, sounding worryingly like a man who's about to say a change is needed.
But no. "MumboJumbo is an innovator in the casual games space, and developing a game with them that combines the quirky characters and humour of the show with a proven, addictive game mechanic we think will be welcomed by fans and casual game players alike," he added.
We'll be the judge of that, Bill. The Office is set for an autumn release.
