Four Swords 3DS is port of GBA version

Let's hope for some online multiplayer

Four Swords 3DS is port of GBA version

Nintendo announced at E3 that 3DS owners would be receiving a free copy of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords this September via the eShop, although details regarding the port were a little thin.

Talking to Joystiq, Nintendo has now confirmed that we'll be getting a port of the original Game Boy Advance version which came bundled with a special edition of A Link to the Past.

Nintendo explained that the version coming to 3DS has nothing to do with Four Swords Adventures, the expanded game that came to GameCube. It did not, however, note whether this updated version will have anything new to offer in terms of content or visuals.

The original Four Swords did not have online multiplayer - if the 3DS edition does, it'll be a dream come true.
