The iOS follow-up to King of Fighters-i- has arrived on the UK and US App Stores.

Big changes for this latest addition of the 2D fighting series include an expanded roster of characters (32 - up from 24) and two new game modes - Challenge and Time Attack.

Most importantly, though, King of Fighters i 2012 packs wi-fi multiplayer for both ranked and unranked battles between friends and randoms.

Rosters

The new characters come from the Art of Fighting, Psycho Soldier, Kimn, and Ikari teams, while two more characters, Kyo and Iori, are available via IAP, according to the app description.

If you liked the trading cards element of the first title, then you'll also be pleased to know that there are now even more cards and illustrations, as well as "rough sketches" of the series exclusive to this iOS outing.

The King of Fighters i 2012 is an iPhone-only title, priced at £4.99 / $6.99. The original game has had its price slashed in celebration of the 2012 edition going live, and can be nabbed for £2.99 / $4.99 [download].
