Chillingo’s Jim and Frank Mysteries hit iPhone
This reminds me of a puzzle
Professor Layton style adventure-puzzler The Jim and Frank Mysteries has hit the iPhone today in the duo’s first riddle solving romp, The Blood River Files.
You play as Jim and Frank, described as a little shy lad and a fearless joker, who prowl around Tinyville looking for the secret of the Blood River and solving tonnes of arbitary puzzles for the local quiz-obsessed population.
The game’s packed with over 60 puzzles, like mathematical quandaries and visual challenges, as well as mini-games like flower picking and potion brewing. You don’t do those activities in every game, that’s for sure.
The whole game is set to last you a good 20 hours of gameplay. More if you suck at algebra.
It’s all presented with some lovely hand-drawn art, voice acting, and an original soundtrack. As it’s a Chillingo game, it’s got Crystal functionality built in, so you can show off your grey matter as you hit the leaderboards and rack up achievements.
The Jim and Frank Mysteries – The Blood River Files is available now for iPhone and iPod touch for 59p / 99c / €0.79c
