Chess is alright, as board games go, but it could be improved with a few more kung fu moves, don't you think?

No, this isn't about Russian grandmasters taking their rivalry to extremes. It's a new mobile game from Ozura Mobile.

The Duel Online is a turn-based multiplayer game, which takes place on a chess-style board. The twist is you play with three types of warrior pieces, each with their own kung fu moves rather than the usual chess pieces.

You win by killing your opponent's king, and it's a bit like blitz chess, in that you only have 20 seconds to make your moves during each turn.

The game can be played alone, but its core is the over-the-network multiplayer mode, which includes score-uploading, a lobby area to meet potential foes, chatting and a buddy list.

It all sounds and looks very tempting, so we're hoping that the game comes out here in the UK with these connected features intact. Needless to say, we'll let you know if and when it does.
