The Crystal Maze coming to iPhone

We announced The Crystal Maze was coming to iPhone back in November, and now it seems the work is almost complete. Scottish developer Dynamo has told us it will be out on the App Store in early February.

Featuring presenter Richard O'Brien and his futuristic computer Mumsie, the game will bring all the best elements from the cult TV show, with both TV Show and Challenge modes.

You'll have to collect time crystals as you make your way through the four zones of the maze - mediaeval, futuristic, Aztec and industrial - into the dome at the centre to try and win the ultimate prize. The tasks are split into Physical, Skill, Mental, and Mystery categories and range from brain-teasing puzzlers to action games.

As well as these mini-games, The Crystal Maze comes with a soundboard containing 16 classic quotes and sounds from the TV show, and the original theme tune.

Additional content will be released after launch too, while the OpenFeint social gaming network is used so you can compared online high scores.

The Crystal Maze will be available on the App Store in February.
