Tetris Blockout to bring mobile puzzling into a new dimension

It is hard to imagine the world of gaming without Tetris. Indeed, Tetris was the most downloaded mobile game of 2007 so it is hardly surprising that EA is reworking the franchise again for a fresh bite at the cherry this year.

Tetris Blockout is the name of the next game in the franchise and includes a third dimension into which you must accurately slot those ever falling blocks.

A 3D twist to the Tetris formula might sound like heresy to some, but the idea has already been executed successfully in various excellent (though less than official) flash incarnations, so as long as the controls are intuitive enough we think Tetris Blockout could be a block solid puzzler.
