Best known for its naval line-drawing game Harbor Master, the husband and wife team at Imangi is back on the App Store, with an all-new experience.

Called Temple Run, it's a 3D endless running game that puts you in the shoes of an Indiana Jones or Nathan Drake, being chased by crazy devil monkey things around an endless track.

Controls are simple: you swipe left and right to turn corners, up to jump over, and down to slide under obstacles. You also tilt to align yourself on the path to collect lines of coins.

You'll be sprinting through, across, and over various types of environments, including castle-type walls, rocks, and creaky wooden structures.

What's my motivation?

Aside from the competitive mechanic of beating your own score, you're encouraged to replay Temple Run through unlocking power-ups such as resurrection and invulnerability with the coins you collect.

And there's an objective system, where the objectives you collect give you a higher score multiplier - similar to Tiny Wings.

Of course, Game Center is used to tie in leaderboards, so you can check against your friends' progress.

Temple Run is out now for iPhone and iPod touch, priced 69p / 99c / €0.79p.

You can see how it plays in the following video.
