 NINTENDO SWITCH NEWS - UPDATE

Switch might not be the right platform for the Yakuza series

That's what the devs have to say, at least

The Nintendo Switch isn’t the “ideal” platform for the Yakuza games, according the series’ producer Daisuke Sato. In an interview with gameblog.fr, Sato shared his thoughts on bringing the popular series over to the Switch.

Sato noted that the Switch might not have the user base that would be drawn to Yakuza games. “Xbox One users may be more likely to be interested in a game like Yakuza,” Sato said, according to a translated version of the interview from Gematsu. “This could potentially be an option.”

Right now, the Yakuza series lives on PlayStation and PC, but that doesn’t mean folks aren’t hankering to see this cult favorite on other platforms. Sadly Switch players will have to keep waiting for the foreseeable future.
