2K Games announced today that WWE 2K19 won’t be launching on Nintendo Switch. There was no reference to Nintendo’s hybrid device when WWE 2K19 was announced a few weeks ago, set for release on October 9, 2018, and now the publisher is making it official. The company released this official statement on Monday:

WWE 2K19 will not be available on Nintendo Switch. 2K is focused on making the best possible experience for WWE 2K fans and will continue evaluating all opportunities to deliver the franchise across additional platforms.”

2K didn’t share why they’d be skipping out on the Switch, but it could very well be due to all of the poor press WWE 2K18 received. It’s safe to say WWE 2K18 was an unmitigated disaster on Nintendo Switch, garnering low scores and some have even dubbed it “the worst game on Switch”. It looks like Switch fans will have to seek out wrestling action on their console of choice elsewhere.
