I know you're probably getting super excited for a weekend of cowboy-style shenanigans, but there's another interesting title on the way to Nintendo Switch that we're pretty jazzed about - Vampyr.

[Ed note: this trailer is from the PC/console launch]

Vampyr is an action RPG by DontNod (Life is Strange) which released earlier this year on console and PC. In it, you play as a newly-turned Vampyr Dr. Jonathan Reid as he figures out why/how he was turned and battles against his primal desires to feed on those around him. A doctor's supposed to do no harm to others, after all.

First pulled up on ResetEra, it's noted in Focus Home Interactive's half revenue report that: "the Group will continue to maximise the potential of the Vampyr license. After the game's impressive success on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, it will be Nintendo Switch's turn to welcome the DontNod title to reach an even wider audience."

This is an unsurprising, but no less interesting move, especially since the game feels like it'll be a pretty perfect fit for the Switch. Though it takes a little bit to get into (and suffers from a few patches of wooden dialogue), it suits players looking for a challenge and those who just want to experience its story without much combat.
