The Binding of Isaac creator's next game, The Legend of Bum-Bo, should be coming to iOS in the first half of 2018
There's a good reason for the delay, though
If you remember last year we first caught wind of the upcoming game, The Legend of Bum-Bo, and it was supposed to be launching around December. Clearly, that didn't happen, but we've just got a little snippet of news telling us we shouldn't have too much longer to wait.
The Legend of Bum-Bo is somewhat a sequel to The Binding of Isaac, though its art style and content is a little different. This upcoming title uses a puzzle board and plays on the familiar match-something puzzle formula. You'll be able to perform basic attacks, defend/heal, and gain mana to cast spells (100 of them so far), which you can read about in more detail here. For those wondering what’s new with the legend of bum-bo, @jamesid and I have expanded the game a bit and pushed its release back to the first half of 2018. Edmund McMillen, creator of TBoI, Super Meat Boy, and The End is Nigh, Tweeted out a micro-update earlier this week, saying that we should get the game sometime before Q3 of 2018 and could get a trailer as early as February.
The Legend of Bum-Bo will be coming out on iOS and likely on the Nintendo Switch as well. We'll keep you updated.
