The action drumming game Taiko no Tatsujin may be getting a western Switch release

Recently it was discovered that the Australian Classification Board had rated Taiko no Tatsujin for Nintendo Switch which suggests that the drumming game may be making a trip to the west at some point.

Taiko no Tatsujin was originally announced for the Switch back in March, though only for Japan. In it, you'll be able to play along to a variety of songs - including music from Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2 - by swinging your Joy-Cons like real drumsticks. Thanks to HD Rumble you'll be able to feel the strikes, too.

You can play the game in all variations whether you're on the go or fancy throwing it up on the TV in docked mode. There's a little bit of strategy in the game, too. You've got to pick between performance characters (each of whom have a specific set of skills) to really make the most of each song.

There'll also be party games to play since you can join up four Switch units. Though a full list has yet to be revealed, a beach volleyball and adorable bee-like game is on the cards.

The game is due out on Japan on July 19th, though will we be getting it in the west around the same time? Who knows! I mean, I'm hoping we will, but we'll just have to keep a watch out.
