Super Smash Bros. Ultimate gives us more reasons to grab a microSD for Switch

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is out this December and we are counting down the days. But, reports indicate that we're going to have to make some hard drive space free in order to play it.

It seems like the digital version of Smash will be 16GB on release, half of the Switch's inbuilt space, which is already taken up by system data and Hollow Knight. Everyone has Hollow Knight right?

Perhaps it shouldn't come as much of a surprise since the game will include every single character that has appeared in a Smash game ever. It'll be absolutely packed with content which is great for us, but not so good for our poor hard drives.

This news comes just days after word that The Banner Saga Trilogy will require an SD card even if you're getting the physical copy. It seems like eventually we'll all just have to bite the bullet and pick up a microSD, but hey, at least that means more games installed at once.

I'm sure everyone will be rushing to grab their copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on December 7th, so to get ahead of the game see our complete guide to every character and their updates.
