Spyro Reignited Trilogy on Switch? Activision suggests not to hold your breath

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy launched this week, but Nintendo fans were left in the lurch. While many suspected the trilogy would be coming to Nintendo Switch along with the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions, Activision doesn’t seem too keen to talk about it.

The game surfaced on the eShop earlier this summer, and Activision even left traces of a Switch version on the Spyro Reignited Trilogy’s home page. Now, though, Activision is ignoring any mention of the Switch. When pressed by Nintendo Life on the status of the trilogy, the company said:

“We're excited that even more Spyro fans will have the opportunity to experience the franchise on PS4 and XB1 platforms. We do not have any other platforms to announce at this time.”

It looks like we’ll have to keep waiting, but Activision’s wording doesn’t necessarily suggest a Switch port is entirely out of the cards. We’re going to keep on hoping, especially since the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy eventually found a home on Nintendo Switch this year.
