Nintendo Switch dock accessory set is finally launching in the UK next month
And comes to the US later this month
It's taken a while but it looks like the separate Nintendo Switch dock sets are finally on their way to the UK.
Tweeted out on the Nintendo UK Twitter earlier today, we've been waiting for news on these 'sold separately' dock sets for some time now. The set includes the dock (duh), the AC adapter, and HDMI cable, so it's basically identical to the original load that came in your Switch console box.An accessory set that includes a #NintendoSwitch dock, an AC adapter and an HDMI cable will be available from 23/06. pic.twitter.com/42C2838gTd — Nintendo UK (@NintendoUK) May 10, 2017
From taking a quick nosy around the web, the US Switch docks are set to come into stock on Amazon, Nintendo, Best Buy, Gamestop, and Walmart on May 19th. The UK lot'll have to wait a little longer as it's set to launch on June 23rd, more than a month later.
Why you'd need a new dock, I don't know. You could be really clumsy and have lost/broken yours already. You could just had travelling with the dock and keep a spare one in another room/house just in case. Whatever your reason, there's your solution.
Pricing-wise, these little piece of kit are likely to set you back a fair chunk - probably around what a Joy-Con pair would cost you (about £70-80/$80-90). I'll update you when we know for sure.
