Even without the release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe teasing the horizon the Nintendo Switch is clearly being received well, as the latest figures show.

Since its launch in March it topped the two-day sales charts in Japan and the Americas as one of the best selling Nintendo systems on record, with the Wii barely beating it. Collectively, however, the Switch shipped 2.74 million units in a single month which beat its original estimates.

Cooler still, as Daniel Ahmad also noted, since the Switch shipped 2.74 million units and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild shipped 2.76 million copies, the ratio of console to game is pretty much 1:1, which is actually awesome and pretty rare.

Before you start typing, it's not a mistake. BotW actually outsold the Switch, most likely from eager fans purchasing the game before the system came back into stock.
