After its worldwide release last Friday, we're finally getting some interesting tidbits and numbers about Nintendo's latest console. Gameindustry reports that the Switch sold around 80,000 units in its opening weekend in the UK, placing it well above the dismal number from Wii-U's launch (40,000 units) but well below recent launches like the Playstation 4 (250,000), the Xbox One (150,000) or even the 3DS (113,000).

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was the second best selling game which is an impressive feat considering the small install base for now. 1-2 Switch was also selling quite well it seems as it's the fourth best selling game of the week.

Of course, we'll have to wait and see a few weeks to get the bigger picture here but Nintendo Switch seems to be a strong launch for now, just not a memorable one.
