Two more third-party games are confirmed for the Nintendo Switch
|

It's been a Switch-heavy week as we got a first look at the portable console a couple of days ago. Now it looks like a couple more third-party games have been confirmed, including a Switch-exclusive.

We know the selection of confirmed games so far, and can probably guess a few on the line, but the third-party ones are much more intriguing. Seasons of Heaven is a 2018-slated Switch-exclusive title based on a French novel. Yann, a young boy with Asperger's syndrome, and his French bulldog Ani will both be playable characters but very little else is known so far.

Sticking to that mystery there's very little information out about The Sacred Hero either apart from what we can gather from the trailer. There's an iconic sight of a sword in the stone - a famed association with King Arthur. After a brief look we're then shot above ground into a brightly-coloured forest and left with the title and the release year: 2018.

The YouTube description states: "Enter the world of The Sacred Hero in 2018, a unique adventure game that twists the conventions of the RPG genre. Arriving 2018 on PC and the Nintendo Switch."

Just by these two games alone the move to open up third-party developers/publishers for the Switch is without a doubt the right one. I can't wait to see what else we'll see come the Switch's release next year.
