Happy days, Nintendo fans, looks like we'll be getting some classic GameCube titles via the Switch's Virtual Console.

For those who are a little unsure, the Virtual Console is a built-in system to a lot of Nintendo's consoles which allows you to buy and download classic titles for a reasonable price.

Eurogamer's reputable sources confirmed that three titles are definitely coming to the Switch via its Virtual Console - Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, and Super Smash Bros Melee.

What still remains a little up in the air is what form the Switch's Virtual Console will take. Unlike its previous service - where you had to buy the game again if you switched platforms - it may act the same way as the Wii U where you can 'upgrade' the game for a small fee.

Apparently the GameCube version of Animal Crossing is also in development with tests currently being run. As we all know the game contained a bunch of little goodies we'd love to be able to take with us on the move.
