Minecraft Bedrock Edition is bringing us all together this June

It’s been a long time coming, but Minecraft’s Bedrock Edition finally arrives this June, and it’s expected to change the game in some major ways. Bedrock Edition will enable crossplay between PC, Xbox, Switch, and mobile versions of Minecraft.

Bedrock Edition will come bundled with all previously released Minecraft content and DLC, along with the new crossplay features. It will also make use of the Nintendo Switch Online service when it debuts later this fall. If you already own the Switch version of Minecraft, you’ll be able to upgrade to the Bedrock Edition free of charge.

The new update puts an emphasis on community-created content. The all new Minecraft Marketplace will allow you to buy and sell user-created worlds, skins, and more using a new in-game currency, Minecoins.

Developer Mojang is also releasing a physical edition of Bedrock Edition for Switch to celebrate all of the big changes in store for the revolutionary sandbox experience.

Will you be taking advantage of Minecraft’s new cross-platform support? We want to hear from you in the comments.
