LIMBO and INSIDE are headed to Nintendo Switch next week and I'll probably buy them both again
For the billionth time
On Twitter earlier today, Playdead announced that it'd be bringing both LIMBO and INSIDE to Nintendo Switch on June 28th. Though I originally thought they might be part of a joint package, it looks like they'll be arriving separately.
LIMBO and INSIDE are two seriously amazing monochromatic games that tell deeply engaging stories with no words at all. Playdead's killer method is its imagery and level design, and it's hard to play through these games and not feel something during your session.INSIDE and LIMBO on Nintendo Switch - Worldwide June 28. https://t.co/mXL2JZJGx6 — Playdead (@Playdead) June 20, 2018
LIMBO's been out on mobile for a little while now, among other platforms, and INSIDE finally crept out on iOS at the end of last year. If you're not familiar with either story, however, do bear in mind that they are for older audiences and contain some rather unsettling imagery.
That being said, both games are brilliant. I think I own LIMBO on about four different platforms now - both iOS and Android included - and I'm pretty sure I'll still end up buying it on Nintendo Switch, too. Don't judge me.
I'll be interested to see what price Playdead is looking at, more so for LIMBO (since it's a much older game), and would hope that things are kept fairly reasonable.
