Hot Five: The Switch might be warping, Afterpulse arrives on Android, and Tempest hits mobile this month
The hot - hot - HOTTEST stories on PG this week
Another week has passed like a fine cloud and I don't think anyone can deny that it's been rather a quiet one.
With a couple of anticipated mobile titles arriving on Android, more Switch games coming out, and the usual newsy malarky, we've still had some stuff to talk about for sure.
But that's enough of me yammering on, let's get down to it.
Afterpulse finally hits Android
Not only is this third-person shooter rather good-looking, it's also been waiting to come to Android for a short while. So, naturally, when the news came about this week, you guys were on the case and loved it enough for it to make this week's Hot Five. Boom.Tempest gets a release date
Yaaarrrr matey, this be the game about sailing the seven seas, sinking ships, killin' scurvy dogs, collecting yer booty, and avoidin' Davy Jones' locker altogether. Announced three years ago, we've only got 'til April 18th to wait. But, better yet, it's available on Android as an early access title right now.Ultra Street Fighter II's headed to Switch
It's not a Nintendo platform without a good old PvP fighting game, but this one isn't exactly 3D. It gives you the option whether to play with modern or classic 8/16-bit graphics, and has a 360 degree arena for you to move around in. But it isn't all about fighting your pals, you can also team up and go at it against CPU opponent in Buddy Battle Mode.Has Been Heroes patches and launches
I'll definitely commend Has Been Heroes for its day one patch as it did do some serious balancing when it came to the boss fights. Dropping from 'impossible' to 'hard as hell' is a good start for sure. But, any which way, the game's now available on the Switch and despite the slightly iffy score I gave it in its review, it is pretty fun in a Dark Souls kind-of way.The Switch might be having more hardware problems
It can't be a complete week without some sort of Nintendo Switch chaos news, though this is mild at least - no need to worry, Switch owners. Someone posted a picture of their device on Reddit, stating that the body of the device had warped after just being in the dock while in use. Originally thought to be an isolated incident, other people have reported something similar, but there's been no word from Nintendo acknowledging, confirming, or explaining it as of yet.
With all said and done, we're going to have to wait another week for the next hot - hot - HOT Five, but I'll be counting down the days.
