Dark Souls Remastered delayed to sometime this summer

Bad news, friends. Dark Souls Remastered for Nintendo Switch has been pushed back until an undetermined date this summer. The game was originally supposed to launch alongside its PS4, Xbox One, and PC fellows on May 25, but alas, it was not to be. Bandai Namco will also be pushing back the release of the Solaire of Astora amiibo as well.

Bandai Namco explained that the Switch version needed a little extra care before the team could feel good about launching the game. Posting on the official Dark Souls Twitter account, the team said, “Rest assured, this time will ultimately be used to improve your journey to Lordan.”

Dark Souls Remastered was confirmed for Nintendo Switch during March’s big Nintendo Direct, and the game even had a hands-on preview at this year’s PAX East. It’s a remaster of the original Dark Souls that will be giving the tough-as-nails action RPG a graphics and performance boost.
