Chess Ultra's detailed 3D matches are coming to Nintendo Switch on November 2nd

For strategy aficionados on the go, you'll be able to enjoy Chess Ultra on the Switch when it releases later this week.

As the name suggests, Chess Ultra is classic Chess, digitally recreated within exotic environments and detailed boards and pieces. Aside from the tutorials and AI challenges to test and hone your skills, you can text your prowess in chess puzzles or even play recreations of some of history's most famous matches.

Cross-play multiplayer lets you play online against Switch, Steam, and Xbox One owners, while "cross-table" mode offers local multiplayer on the single tablet.

Chess Ultra will be available on Switch for £9.99 this Thursday.
