BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle finally has a European launch date but still no Switch demo

It's been teased for a while now, but BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle finally has a concrete European launch date on Switch – June 22nd.

Sadly, Switch fans in Europe won't be able to get their hands on the beta version of the game, which is running this weekend on the PS4. You could download the trial version from the US or Japan eShop however, if you're willing to put in some effort.

For those not in the loop, Cross Tag Battle is a 2D fighter from Arc System Works featuring characters from BlazBlue, Under Night In-Birth, and Persona 4 Arena, along with the stars of Rooster Teeth's anime RWBY.

If you've played any of Arc System Works' fighters before, you'll know what to expect – gorgeous pixel art, a mix of casual and hardcore controls to cater for all crowds, and extensive tutorials to train up even the greenest of newcomers.

From the little bit of the demo I've played, it's definitely going to prove to be a fan favourite among the hardcore anime fighter crowd, though I can't for the life of me work out how to string a combo together. Better get on the tutorials, fast.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle launches on Switch in Europe on June 22nd. US players can get their hands on the trial version right now, and the full version when it launches on June 5th.
