It's a new month, and we're ready to hunt down some eggs. Almost everything you do in the first couple of weeks of April in Animal Crossing: New Horizons will reward you, or curse you, with coloured eggs, left around the island by Zipper, the slightly threatening Five Nights at Freddy's escapee.

There are loads of brand new furniture pieces to craft, and they all take the new, unique egg crafting materials that you'll find around the island. If you get frustrated by finding these instead of the normal materials you actually want after a couple of days, I wouldn't be surprised.

The event starts today, April 1st, and lasts until the 12th, at which point it'll all be gone, so stock up on eggs and DIY recipes before that happens.

Since April is here, it also means a load of brand new fish and insects will be found on your island. To find all of the new creatures, take a look at our list here.

Bunny Day, explained

As mentioned, Zipper will appear on your island and will be hiding eggs absolutely everywhere - we'll get into where you can find each kind of egg below.

Zipper will start you off with a couple of egg-related recipes, and you'll be able to find more as you explore the town. Here's a tip: make sure to carry around a slingshot at all times, or you might regret it.

This is, of course, a generic name for an Easter celebration, y'know, without the religious connotations. Luckily, coloured eggs and rabbits are secular and everyone can enjoy them.

2
Finding extra recipes

If you want more Bunny Day DIY recipes to fill out your crafting list, you're in luck: there are loads. Though, getting them isn't all that easy.

What you'll need to do primarily is keep a weathered eye on the skies. You will get given a few recipes by Zipper himself, but to get more recipes you will need to shoot down balloons that look like coloured eggs. If an egg drops, well, you've got an egg, if a present drops, you'll get a recipe.

Personally I'm not going to put all of these eggs in my house, even if they give me wallpapers and flooring recipes, and when the season is over, I'll be pawning this furniture off the Nook…

If you just collect lots of eggs, you will also get access to some unique DIY recipes. Not bad at all.

And finally, here's what you need to know to find all of the different kinds of eggs, which are essential to crafting all of the seasonal event furniture. It's pretty simple, as you will be able to find almost all kinds of eggs simply by following your usual daily tasks.
