NGamer has posted its first impressions of Scribblenauts 2, sequel to the wildly creative puzzler on DS that allows you to solve puzzles by creating almost any object you can write down.

The follow up will continue the mind bending dictionary-on-a-DS-cart gameplay, but with some alterations following criticism of the first game.

NGamer asked how developer 5th Cell would be fixing the issue of every level being completed through some combination of a jetpack and God. Creative director Jeremiah Slaczka claims that a move to more puzzle orientated levels, instead of action focussed, will alleviate this issue.

There are also new level types, like a 'Create-A-Tron' machine that asks you to combine two objects to create a third, and new objects such as the Cloning Machine, to easily double up on whales, or whatever floats your boat.

The game's other improvements are slightly more subtle, but a better level editor, more words, and D-Pad controls will satisfy Scribblenauts obsessives.

Scribblenauts 2 is expected to launch on DS later this year.
