When it's winter in the northern hemisphere, then it's time to strap yourself to bits of fibre glass and go falling down mountains.

And that's what Korean publisher Com2uS, together with US developer Free Range Games, is encouraging you to do in SummitX Snowboarding.

Carve up

As you'd expect with its $4.99 pricetag, it's selling itself as a premium quality experience, which boasts 36 multi-branching runs on six mountains, 10 customisable boards and a gnarly rock soundtrack.

Obviously, you need to get down the slopes as quickly as possible, also pulling off tricks to earn the points you'll need to upgrade your kit. You can spend real cash to buy the in-game Cold Cash too.

Interestingly, you get 1,000 Cold Cash with the iOS version of the game, but when you unlock the full Android version - it's initially a free Lite download - you get 2,000 Cold Cash.

Either way, the full SummitX Snowboarding experience costs $4.99 or local equivalent via Android Market [link] or Apple App Store.

You can see how it plays in the following video.
