We're not sure if anyone is doing an official mobile game for the Beijing Olympics (if they are, they'll have paid handsomely for the privilege).

However, there should be plenty of unofficial athletics games appearing this summer so as to capitalise on the upcoming sporting bonanza. We've already written about Playman Summer Games 3, but now HeroCraft has announced a rival called Summer Games 2008.

It'll offer five events: weightlifting, boat racing, hurdling, javelin and "running broad jump" (long jump, maybe?).

You'll be able to practise individual events or compete in a tournament, competing as a member of whatever national team you like.

The game is due out in late June.
