Scrabble meets block puzzler

String 'em In is now spelling out on App Store

There aren't many games that you could describe as "smash hits on interactive TV", but apparently String 'em In is one such.

Described as what happens when you mix Scrabble or Boggle with the block puzzler genre, the more words you make out of the random letters provided on the screen within the available time limit the better your high score.

And now, ten years after it was first launched onto the set top boxes of middle-aged housewives, it's coming to the pockets of the cutting-edge trendsters who own iPhones or iPod touches.

Published by UK outfit Connect2Media, the Phone version comes with infinite randomly generated word grids and five difficulty settings, while Facebook Connect and support for the OpenFeint social network means you can share/show off your spelling skills to your friends.

String 'em In is out now priced at $2.99, €2.36 or £1.79. Hit the 'Buy It!' button to go direct to the App Store.

Alternatively you can find the free Lite version here [Link].
