Strategic Assault besieges the App Store
Smartphone military strategy game now available for iPhone
Xen Games has seen considerable success with its Pocket PC and Symbian combat strategy game, Strategic Assault, and has just released a port for the iPhone.
Requiring a tactical approach to seizing strategic locations using a variety of military units, such as tanks, helicopters, gunboats and more, the smartphone game has been reshaped to make use of the iPhone's touchscreen interface.
There aren't a great many RTS games on the App Store at the moment, and as we're not likely to see Advance Wars on the iPhone any time soon, Strategic Assault fills something of a market gap for strategists and warmongers.
