War Robots is getting an all new single-player VR chapter today, letting you helm your very own warrior mech in glorious virtual reality. This new campaign places you in the midst of a war-torn city as you and your trusted sidekick seek out your purpose.

War Robots first VR adventure sheds the tactical third-person perspective for intense first-person gameplay, truly immersing you in the dazzling cyberpunk action as it unfolds. The Skirmish will pit you against other towering mechs as you make your way through the game’s dark post-apocalyptic setting.

While you move a bit more slowly as a giant, hulking mech, you’ll be equipped with some seriously powerful weapons, and helpful monitors to give you careful readings on your surroundings.

The game’s short teaser looks quite slick, with mechs firing imposing gatling guns at one another as storms roil in the sky above. Gameplay is smooth and responsive, giving the player full control of the battles at hand. War Robots VR: The Skirmish is set to be a short, free to play experience, but it’s not one you’ll soon forget.
