The tricky party platformer Ultimate Chicken Horse should still be coming to Switch this year

On the Nintendo Switch's Sub-Reddit today there's been a lot of talk surrounding yesterday's Nindies Summer Showcase. However, one thing I wasn't expecting to see is that we might still be getting Ultimate Chicken Horse on the Switch sometime this year.

I don't know how many of you'll have played UCH yet but it's an utterly bonkers and sub-infuriating party platformer for up to four people. Yes, there's a horse and chicken character to play, but also a raccoon, squirrel, robo-rabbit, and more to unlock throughout the game as well as multiple wacky levels.

That doesn't sound too bananas, but the crazy comes in the game's mechanics. Each round you and your friends are given a selection of items to choose from and you've got to place/use them to help you get to the level's goal.

Of course, it wouldn't be much fun if you didn't try to sabotage each other through the game so that's bound to test some friendships - I speak from personal experience here.

After Redditor Yumitor asked Clever Endeavour whether the game would still be coming to Switch in 2017, Richard Atlas wrote back saying, "As you may have seen, there was no update from us on the Nintendo Direct. I was actually waiting to see whether they were going to mention it, but apparently not. We haven't announced a release date yet, but we're aiming to be able to do so in a couple of months."
