Though the trend of mining games has died down in recent years, there are still plenty of titles in the genre that maintains an active community. This includes Terraria, which is one of the oldest and also most popular. It is available on almost every platform and is well-suited to mobile. Aside from offering endless survival and crafting activities, it also provides a huge challenge in terms of defeating all of its bosses. While some of them are optional, it is worth it to hunt them down in order to get valuable loot.

Unlike in traditional RPGs, bosses in Terraria work differently. Not only do some of them require other bosses to be defeated as a prerequisite, but they can also require specific items or actions before they can be confronted. When spawned, bosses will actively chase the player while they are in the region. They can be escaped under the right circumstances, but this will usually cause them to despawn. Some of them will only appear in certain biomes while others only show up at certain times of the day. Please note that the following details apply to the 8 Pre-Hardmode bosses and the 11 Hardmode bosses when fought in classic mode
