Forget space; the sea is the new frontier. Sailaway hopes to bring the thrill and beauty of ocean travel to mobile and PC later this year.

Sailaway doesn't skimp on realism. You'll be traveling across Earth-scale oceans in real time; your boat will continue traveling on its journey even when you're offline. You'll need to manage your sails, outhaul, and other parts of a realistic sailboat, while keeping an eye on wind speed, water speed, depth of the water, and other elements.

Rough waves, storms, shallows, and items like buoys and oil rigs must be braved and navigated around, planning your journey on a nautical map.

While the mobile versions will have lesser visuals than the PC versions, the gameplay will be the same; you'll even be able to check in your sailboat from the app to adjust its course and sailtrim.

Sailaway is expected to release on PC in November, with iOS and Android coming afterwards. You can find more details on the sailing mechanics and gameplay here.
