After releasing in Summer 2016, Reigns was a substantial success across platforms, earning it high praises from critics and consumers alike. We gave it a Silver Award in its review, praising it for being a neat mix of strategy and casual mobile play.

Reigns: Her Majesty, as you would guess, follows the same Tinder-esque card-swiping gameplay, only this time you're embodying a queen. As queen you'll find ruling to be similarly trying, especially under an absent-minded king, but your predicaments should come in different forms.

As we see in the trailer, one of many grisly ends comes from the flesh-eating flames of the stake after being accused of witchcraft. What'll be interesting to see is just how much it'll play on women's status in the renaissance. Perhaps it won't get that political, but it'll be fun finding out nonetheless.

Reigns: Her Majesty arrives on iOS, Android, and Steam on December 7th.
