Did you check out our stream on Tuesday? The one where we showed off some gameplay from the awesome Pandemic? If not, click this link and you'll be able to enjoy the experience in its entirety.

But if the stream got you interested in Pandemic, you might be wondering what other digital board games scratch similar itches. Which is why we're written up this list.

These are the games that, once you've saved the world from deadly viruses in Pandemic a few times, you're going to want to pick up as well. We've got trains, subterfuge, economy, and strategy in spades here.

If you've got your own suggestions as to what Pandemic fans might want to play next, feel free to lob them in the comments at the bottom of the article. Then go and wash your hands thoroughly, we don't want the infection spreading.

Twilight Struggle

This one is all about the cold war. Essentially you pick a side, then simulate the backroom conflict. Things can change on the fly though, so you need to react quickly to different circumstances.

You might not be saving the world from a plague, but you will be saving it from nuclear annihilation. Hopefully.

Imperial

Another game that takes place on a giant map of the world. Imperial is all about building up your empire, but there's an incredibly involving level of complexity here.

This definitely isn't a game for the faint of heart, or those without a lot of time to put into their play, but if you don't fit into either of those categories, there's an awful lot to love here.

Ticket to Ride

Where the other games are about conquest and survival, Ticket to Ride is all about building up a network of rail connections, and profiting from them.

It's a good deal more welcoming than plenty of other large-scale strategy games, but there's still a whole cavern of depth for you to get lost in.

Eight-Minute Empire

Sometimes you don't want to throw hours of your life into a game. Sometimes you've only got, oh we don't know, eight minutes to play in.

That's where Eight-Minute Empire comes in. It squashes a grand strategy game down into mobile-sized slices, and it does it while still managing to be an incredible amount of fun.
