In case you remember the game from a previous Big Indie Pitch or from Gamescom last year, it's exciting to see that Huntdown is now getting publishing by Coffee Stain Studios (Goat Simulator). According to Coffee Stain, they're off goats for a little while and are looking to branch out a little.

Huntdown is a retro, 80s-inspired arcade shooter made by Easy Trigger. This side-scrolling shooter brings us all of the nostalgic joy of a 16-bit game but packs it full of delicious, 60 FPS action. Either go at it solo or grab yourself a partner in local co-op mode as you traverse the levels and shoot the hell out of anything that isn't you.

Initially announcing itself last year with a potential 2016 release, things didn't quite go to plan. Due to come out on PC and consoles at the very least, it was a little up in the air whether Huntdown will be coming to mobile at all.

Though, as we played the game on iPad last year at the BIP in Cologne, there's no reason why it wouldn't come to mobile eventually. It might just be a little later than we'd thought.

On its website, Huntdown is estimated to hit out in late 2017, but we'll keep you updated on its progress.
