Hot Five: N.O.V.A's getting a revamp, AcroSplat somersaults into beta, and Ink Spotters' got the Sherlock vibe

It's the end of the week, ladies and gents, and you know what that means – it's time for another Hot Five.

This week we had a nice mixture of anticipated games, sudden drops, and fantastic discoveries. But let's not talk, let's just get down to it.

The colourful puzzler, and previous Big Indie Pitch contestant, released news of their online beta this week. From the sound of it, you guys snapped the opportunity up and are so far absolutely loving it. Superheroes and supervillains are only getting more and more popular as the years go on, and Injustice 2 has peeked out from behind the curtain this week. Pit your favourite characters from the DC universe against each other in this online battler...though, only if you're in the Philippines. Sorry kids.

Gameloft surprised everyone this week as they announced via a 44-second teaser that they'd be bringing the N.O.V.A. series back, but under the name N.O.V.A. Legacy. As another of Gameloft's free-to-play games, the community is as excited as they are hesitant when faced with the news, but I look forward to seeing how the game turns out.

Can you believe that Final Fantasy is 30 years-old? I know I can't. To celebrate the momentous event, Square Enix has launched a huge sale of 11 of the titles across PlayStation 4, PSP, Vita, and has now knocked prices down on Steam as well.

This was the most surprising story of the week for me personally as pretty much everyone has shown such enthusiasm for the game. I know we all love a good detective game, but twinned with the epic comic book-like art style and Her Story-like mechanics, I can only recommend that you take a look at the game at the very least.
