Develop2016 - Episodic narrative adventure The Lion's Song is coming to mobile this year

The first episode of narrative adventure The Lion's Song just launched for free on Steam, so we caught up with the Austrian studio Mi Pu Mi at Develop to learn more.

As it turns out, The Lion's Song is also coming to mobile this year - hopefully in the vague Q3 period. So look out for it when it inevitably drops for free on iOS and Android.

The Lion's Song is set just before World War One in the early 20th century, and follows four characters as they struggle for creative inspiration.

We only saw the first episode, which follows the prodigy Wilma, a student musician who's struggling to write a composition due to pressure from her teacher. Who she's kind of a little bit in love with.

Four episodes are planned which follow the four different characters, and their stories interlink in interesting ways. In fact, Mi Pu Mi encouraged me to replay the episodes once I'd completed them, as they're chock full of references to characters you meet and events that take place in later episodes.

If that doesn't sway you enough, then the fact that the story was written by Lee Sheldon might. If you don't know him by name alone, Sheldon previously worked on the Agatha Christie games, The Adventure Company, and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

You can play The Lion's Song right now on Steam, or you can wait until Q3 (at the earliest) to check it out on iOS and Android. The first episode is free, but you'll have to pay for the others.
