Steam Mobile for iPhone and Android now available to everyone
Closed beta over
Last week, Half-Life developer Valve released an official iPhone and Android application for its extremely popular Mac and PC digital distribution platform Steam.
Unfortunately, it arrived in a closed beta state, so the majority of you (and us) were unable to get past the application's login screen.
Good news. Valve's official Steam application is now available to everybody. Well, everybody with a Steam account, that is.
If you're yet to check the app out, it allows you to chat with your Steam buddies, check out their profiles and other community groups, and stay up to date with all of the latest gaming news.
Cheaper than your averageFurthermore, you can browse and purchase titles from Steam's vast library. Naturally, you can't play the games on your phone, so they'll be delivered through Valve's desktop client.
Steam is available on the App Store [download] and Android Market [download] for free, so go and grab it.
