Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back goes mobile

THQ Wireless preparing another slice of Jedi action

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back goes mobile

You have to hand it to THQ Wireless for persistence: having released 762 Star Wars games on mobile, it's still going strong. And next up is a biggie: The Empire Strikes Back.

In a game-of-the-film style, it enables you to live out key scenes from the movie on your phone. That includes a Jedi combat mode where you fight the Imperial Forces on foot, a Millennium Falcon mode where you have to dodge asteroids, and some Force training mini-games.

Alas, Yoda is in it. Pesky green eejit.

Anyway, it's a collection of mini-games, as you'll have guessed. The screenshots certainly look good, with isometric viewpoints and crisp, clean graphics a go-go.

The quality of Star Wars mobile games has been a bit variable, but we're hoping this one's a winner. Stand by for a preview and review in the coming weeks, and click 'Track It!' to get an alert when they go live. The game itself is due out in December.
