Han Solo in PSP Carbonite for Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron release

LucasArts has revealed that for the US launch party of Renegade Squadron on October 9th (to be held at the PlayStation store at the Metreon in San Francisco, if you're in the area), gamers should expect a host of prizes, special goodies and events.

However, of particular interest to Star Wars fans, no doubt, are the special Han Solo in Carbonite PSP cases to be given to the first 200 purchasers of the Star Wars Battlefront Entertainment Pack.

As well as a copy of the game, the pack's most significant inclusion is a Ceramic White Slim & Lite with a silkscreen of Darth Vader on the back (see shots above), which and can be yours if you're prepared to hand over $199.

No such deal on this side of the Atlantic, however, and with Sony's strong stance against the importing of its products, you're unlikely to find a retailer happy to ship you one across from the US.

You're only hope is if you have, say, an American uncle to help you. And if he just happens to be a Jedi American uncle, you may as well ask him to Force his way to front of the Metreon queue and grab you one of those Solo cases, too.
