Downloadable Square Enix titles hit Japanese PSPs

Sony's Japanese PS3 and PSP classic game download service, Game Archives, has had its game library bolstered with the addition of six Square Enix games.

The first six titles made available for download by the publisher will be Xenogears, Einhander, Rakugaki Showtime, Astronoka, Raystorm and Fighter's Impact. A couple of these have been released in the west, although the likes of the Treasure-developed Rakugaki Showtime haven't.

Unfortunately only gamers in Japan (or those with Japanese PlayStation Network accounts) will be able to download the games. All six titles are playable on both PSP and PS3 and are available for the rather reasonable price of ¥600 (around £3).

As ever, let's hope it's an indication of PSP-related things to come on this side of the globe.
